Scottsdale Progress - Businesswoman, Model is a Philanthropist Too

Micheline Etkin Scottsdale Progress

Old Town resident Micheline Etkin is a triple-treat.

She’s not only a business owner and a Brazilian-Lebanese super-model but a passionate philanthropist for children’s causes as well.

“My main job is philanthropy,” Etkin said. “I’m dedicated to bringing awareness to children’s hospice and palliative care all around the world. And it’s what I do as an ambassador for the Elisabeth Kübler-Ross Foundation.”

Micheline at Ryan House 2017

As an avid supporter of children’s causes through her work with ICPCN, Casa Brazil and Cardon Children’s Medical Center to name a few, Micheline works closely with Ryan House. One of her favorite things to do every year is to dress up as a Disney princess for the Ryan House annual Halloween celebration to put smiles on the patients’ faces and show them how much they’re loved by their community.

Micheline Etkin, 48, of Scottsdale Etkin, an international model, was born in Lebanon, raised in Brazil and has lived on four continents. Her amazing wardrobe is a mix of exotic, worldly pieces, vintage finds and sleek designer couture - a fashion diary of her travels. She is one of the most stunning women you'll ever meet, always exuding glamour and femininity (a starkly stylish contrast: she wears hefty men's watches only).

Etkin has graced numerous magazine covers, including Vogue, and has walked the red carpet for eight Golden Globe Awards shows. She also designs her own jewelry.

Best bargain find: When I lived in Paris, I went to the Maison Dior sample sale and bought the most amazing yellow organza evening corset and skirt. I still have it.

Favorite places for splurge shopping: In New York and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Favorite place to bargain shop: Outlets. I love Neiman Marcus Last Call.

If money were no object, she'd buy: A crocodile Hermes Birkin bag.

Loving: Flowing dresses that you can dress up or down by changing accessories and shoes.

Hating: Harem pants.

Pet peeve: Dark lip liner not blended with lipstick.

Always wearing: Jewelry. I love it all: costume, real, vintage.

Favorite designers: Michael Casey and Roberto Cavalli.

Style icon: Elie Saab.

Go-to beauty item: Mascara with primer.

Won't leave home without: One spoonful of extra-virgin olive oil, first thing in the
morning. Hand lotion and lip balm.

Feels most glamorous in: A couture gown by Michael Casey.

Feels like herself in: Jeans, heels and bold accessories.

Won't ever get rid of: My wedding gown.
